My friend had referred me and I didn't get the job. I am very much a people person but I guess I'm not the best at showing that in interviews. I was told I had low energy, didn't have detailed explanations, and had weak communication skills. There were 3 people from the company who had interviewed me. They all had low energy so I tried to match that. I am a Communication Studies major lol I was then declined an offer. I then talked to my recruiter and asked if I could be given another chance. She This shows initiative. I went to my Career Center and practiced. I then had a mock interview my recruiter set me up with. I practiced every day until my interview. I felt pretty confident about my interview after it was done, I definitely did way better. I interviewed with 2 of the same people and a director with more energy. They told me they would tell me their decision that day. I called them that day and then waited until the end of the day that Monday to call again. My friend was surprised I didn't get it because she thought I was just as qualified or even more qualified than her. The feedback was literally that I didn't improve enough from the last interview and that I didn't have strong enough communication skills to be a an intake specialist. Please define communication skills. The gentleman who interviewed me complimented me a bunch so I don't understand lol
