I went through what I initially thought was a promising and professional interview process, starting with a phone screen, then an online interview, and finally a face-to-face onsite interview. For the final round, I was asked to prepare and deliver a full training presentation tailored to two people. I put in significant time and effort only to find that three people attended, without any notice or explanation, a small thing, but indicative of what was to come. After completing the entire process, I was met with complete silence. I followed up two weeks later with a voicemail and an email, both of which were ignored. I reasonably assumed the role had been filled and moved on, albeit disappointed to receive no feedback after investing so much time and preparation. Fast forward two and a half months, I received a call from their internal recruiter saying the original role was filled, but they had another similar position open. I expressed interest and was told I’d need to meet with the head of training again. That meeting was frustrating and frankly inappropriate! I was questioned and essentially dressed down for showing interest in a similar yet lower-paying role, with comments like “we’ve been burned before by people doing that.” This was particularly insulting considering I hadn’t reapplied on my own, they called me back after ghosting me. After that second meeting, surprise surprise; I was ghosted AGAIN. No response, no feedback, just silence. Meanwhile, the new role was repeatedly advertised for over three months, I wonder why... If this is how they treat candidates during the hiring process, especially experienced professionals who put in serious effort, I’m honestly relieved they didn’t proceed. If you're considering applying here, proceed with caution. A recruitment process should reflect the values of the organisation, and this one clearly did.
