      Entrevista

      I was called for three intervews, the first one was a phone call with a HR representative in Spanish who asked me typical questions about my CV and experience. The second one was a phone interview in with the Sales Team in Brazil, it was in Spanish, English and Portuguese. It took about 1 hour. And they asked me about my experiencie and did some role-playing. After the second interview I did not heared anything about the company in 2 months. They called me to check if I was still interested in the position and invited me to a face to face interview in Santiago. That interview was very akward because there was a clear disconnection between HR/Headquarters and the Santiago office. They had a very different role description. The interview was in English and Spanish. I never heard back from them. I emailed the HR representative who had been in contact with but she never replied . I found it very disrespectful considering the time I had taken to attend their interviews.

      The very next day after applying online, HR from Singapore called for a telephonic screening (Asking job description, experience, current salary, etc) and then scheduled a 1:1 with CS Team Lead. 1:1 with CS Team Lead went well, started with an intro on the job description and the Business division of commscope etc. interview was lots of behavioral questions expected in a CS role. I was able to explain to them clearly why I applied for the role and how I could bring value to organisation. within a week received a called from HR scheduling one more round with VP of Sales. No formal questions during the interview, it was more about getting to know how i would fit in the role and the company culture. He gave an insight on the industry and the role commscope will play in the future, etc {I could just sit there and talk for hours if it was not time bound} . After the interview i was clear that this was the company i wanted to work. HR called back a week after and said they will proceed with my candidacy and gave me the details of approx salary and benefits. Salary mentioned was around 30% increment from my current (which I disclosed during the screening itself. ) This is when everything turns around - HR goes cold, and after numerous follow ups they came back saying that they wont be able to provide the salary mentioned earlier, and they will go with XX AED which is less than my current salary. It was definitely a shocker and such a disappointing way of negotiating(if they were trying to do that). After going thru 2 rounds of interview and waiting for 2 weeks, I was asked to take a salary less than what I currently get!!
