Very easy interview process. Was asked if I was able to perform the responsibilities required, what my grade was in the class and how i thought i could contribute to students learning

The process is rolled into the application process. There is no interview or real consideration for who should receive these prized positions outside of the application for attendance. The downside for this is that they make a choice before actually getting to know anyone. There seems to be little opportunity for advancement based on merit seeing as the final decisions are made prior to school starting. On the plus side, if you get a GTA position, it is rare that you will ever lose it.
