I had a chat with a recruiter with regular hr questions. Then I had an interview with the hiring manager with experience based questions, As a feedback from recruiter I got a complaint from about my eye contact (on a zoom call) and an invitation to interview for a different position with a different manager. After that I got an invitation to an home assignment, which came as a surprise as recruiter didn't mention it during first call. This test is one of those you start from scratch and requires an huge amount of time from you(to do a good job) and very little effort from the company so I declined my application with serious concerns about the company culture.

A nice interview process consisting of a couple of steps:
1. 30 min recruiter interview.
2. 30 min live coding test, implementing some standard React todo list features.
3. 60 min in-depth technical interview, with 15 mins at the end to implement two small React hooks with a key difference.
4. In-person office interview, 60 mins with a product manager, 60 mins with an engineering manager.
5. Offer and background check with Sterling.
I felt my time was respected and got a positive feeling for working there.

Explain the difference between throttle and debounce. When would you use these?

First round met with the hiring manager to discuss the role and an overview of the company and expectations. Second round had 3 sessions - 2 engineers and 1 product manager. All three sessions were conversational in nature - the engineering discussions were technical but I was not asked to write any code. Everyone was great throughout the process. I received an offer and only declined because I received a more competitive offer from a publicly traded company. (Equity in RSUs instead of options)
