Entrevista
Pretty standard couple of zoom interviews, nothing out of the ordinary. The whole process seemed to progress at a reasonable pace, and the calls themselves were quite pleasant.
I was told that I'd hear back in about a week, given that there were other candidates they wanted to interview first, which makes perfect sense. I didn't hear back at all for about 2 weeks, until I contacted the recruiter several times asking what the situation was. Roughly 2 weeks after I spoke to them last, I finally was told that they had decided they didn't need to hire anybody for the role. Total waste of time, and because of the long radio silence, a rather frustrating experience.

They mostly focused on my CV, but spent a rather long time digging into my specific experience, which they then explained was to assess whether or not I actually did the work I claimed to have done. While this might rub some people the wrong way, I didn't particularly mind, given that I don't take credit for things I've not done.

First round: discussion with CTO around the role and opportunity, CV review and broad experience.
Second round: technical screening with two engineers, talked about previous experience and technical discussion to determine whether you are a good fit for the role
Third round: skipped as they were convinced that there was no need to test my technical ability - but would've been a standard algorithms round
