First screen was pretty standard - asked questions about my projects, work experience, and some general ML theory questions (how are models tuned, how do neural networks work, etc.). Very low pressure and conversational. Second interview was a set of Leetcode-type questions in Python, but I was told it would be more specific questions about machine learning and implementations. The interviewer insisted that they never ghost candidates, then proceeded to ghost me after the interview.

One of the second interview questions I got involved parsing through two dictionaries and adding each key, value pair to a third dictionary if it met some criteria. Unfortunately, I don't remember anything more specific than this.
We are sorry that you had a negative experience! We try really hard to get back to everyone within a few weeks, so I'm really sorry that you fell through the cracks and weren't reached out to in a timely manner. We now use a Talent Management Software to keep this from ever happening again!

Thought questions about how I would approach tackling a specific situation, what questions would I ask about the project
Video screening with HR + team member, code screening with team member, ML breadth interview with team member, didn't make it past that round. HR was prompt and organized with scheduling, but one particular interviewer failed to show up entirely for 1 round, which is understandable, but no notice or apology was given. In the rescheduled round, the same interviewer showed up 10 minutes late (equates to 1/3 of the designated time slot) and seemed to have very little interest and again did not give notice or apologize. Totally unprofessional. Code screening was extremely simple (easier than LC easy)

Q1: Remove repeated elements from list
Q2: Given two dictionaries, output a third dictionary based using the keys/values from D1/D2 based on some conditions
Q3: Order a set of ordered pairs based on first number in pair:
{(7,9) , (1,3), (3,6) } ---> { (1,3) , (3,6), (7,9) }

It seems that the only reason I didn't get the job was that I wasn't friends with them beforehand. Overall very nice and friendly, good culture from the outside, but a bit too buddy buddy and are clearly refining their hiring process. All rounds were easy, but for some reason, I feel like they didn't believe I could do the job no matter how I presented, assured them, or answered questions correctly. It's never fun fighting ghosts. They seem to be great engineers but not great at evaluating people. Was rejected without reason after 4 months.
I wanted to rate my overall experience high because the interpersonal dynamics were very friendly for the most part (except a few), but overall I felt the entire process to be rude and a waste of time. For a decent chunk of time, I felt that regardless of how I presented myself, they gave the vibe of "why are you even here" through their choice of questions and interactions with me instead of testing my ability.
