My interview process included three rounds totaling about four hours, with one of the rounds conducted in person. I initially applied for a Web QA role, but the first panel I met with was from the mobile app team, which created some early confusion. The tone of the interview felt off from the start, as the team focused heavily on mobile experience even though it was not the position I applied for.
The panel consisted of three interviewers, and one of them took a particularly assertive approach when questioning me about a previous mobile project I had briefly worked on earlier in my career. The interview focused on very specific mobile-related details such as ADB commands and app identifiers, which felt mismatched for a web-focused role. This contributed to the interview feeling more stressful and less constructive than expected.
Additionally, the interview room setup made communication difficult. When another interviewer moved on to SQL questions, I struggled to hear her clearly due to the distance across the large conference table and had to ask for the question to be repeated multiple times.
Overall, the process felt somewhat disorganized and mismatched to the position I applied for. While I appreciated the opportunity to meet the team, the experience left me feeling that expectations could have been communicated more clearly and the interview environment made more conducive to productive conversation.
