I applied through their website and got a call from the HR. The HR screening call was scheduled shortly after, then moved on to the first round. First round was about what everyone said here. The interviewer asked questions about dice probability, conditional probability questions, dog sighting probability question and some hypothetical casino case study questions. The interview lasted about an hour. Second round was a take home assignment. I was given 2 datasets and asked to do EDA and modeling and asked to send back within a week. After the submission, the assignment was presented to two interviewers from the company for 1 hour. The data assignment took at least 2-3 full days to complete. Starting from understanding the data, writing explanations and conclusions for reasonable and comprehensive EDA and modeling. Definitely not one afternoon task. Didn't advance to the next round. The company sent out automated "not selected" email after so much effort and time spent on the interview process and the data assignment.

A recruiter got in contact with me and went over the basics. A technical screening was then set up with a data scientist from the team. The interviewer was very nice. He did go down a list of probability questions. It was the same dice questions other people on glassdoor have mentioned. I wasn't asked too much on projects I've previously worked on or previous roles. Seems like the guy had a set of questions he was following. It felt like being quizzed at school and somewhat impersonal. But once I had time to ask questions, I got a better idea of the interviewer's personality and team dynamics. Did not move on to the second round, I got back a rejection email a little under a week later. Honestly, pretty average experience, nothing too bad, but nothing great either. However, I did appreciate that they communicated with me in a timely manner.

      Entrevista

A recruiter reached me (without even applying). I got interviewed in July 2021. The recruiter was new for his job (less than a month I guess). But the recruiter did a good job in explaining the job role/interview process. I got the first interview technical round with two folks: one hiring manager (hysteric laugh every minute interval, irritating!) and DS IV level (a decent guy). They asked about my current job and role. Then got into the high school math questions as described by previous interviews ( I aced all these as I saw the interview questions here in Glassdoor :)): 0) Tell about your current job and work experience. 1) Conditional probability dice questions: a) Expected pay-off of a single roll single dice game (Entry fee $3). The amount the player gets is the face value of the dice. Ans: $3.5 - $3 = $0.5 b) Expected pay-off of a double roll single dice game(entry fee $4). Rule: the player can either hold or continue the game after the first roll. If the player continues the player forfeits the money received after the first round.Ans. $4.25(Expected values check stack overflow for the math) - $4 = $0.25 c) Which of a) or b) has a higher payoff. Ans. obviously game (a). 2) The probability of watching at least one star in 1 hr = 0.64. What is the probability of watching at one start in 30 mins? Ans. 0.4 (Again search StackOverflow) 3) What kind of casino machine would you recommend based on two options knowing that patrons play option B longer but the casino earns slightly less per hour from the machine than option A? I answered all the questions but I didn't get into the next round; I don't know their yardstick of measurement of conversion. I read from Blind that they couldn't keep the tech talent or hire new ones. No surprise, they didn't change the interview questions for the past 3-5 years.
