I applied online and about a week later, I heard back from them asking for a YouTube resume. After submitting, I heard back from a recruiter who conducted a phone screen with me and the same day I spoke with their hiring manager who called me for an onsite.
The onsite was a tough interview. Cloudera expects sales candidates who are sharp, quick on their feet, and can sum up their technology's use case and definition in short sentences (no easy task for abstract products like Impala!). Particular emphasis is placed on candidate pedigree (coming from a top tier school, high college GPA...) and you'll notice that it is an extremely competitive work environment.

Disappointed not to be contacted for second interview when I was told I would go on to the next round. My thought is that it would have been nice to be contacted even an email would have been nice but to be iced out didn’t seem right. It was my time too.

Very structured approch and organisation, 121 interviews which takes away a lot of pressure and you can ask a lot of questions and the overall atmosphere is very fair and kind.
Very efficient and professional. 3 interviews. They offered and setup interviews with another hiring manager and peer to help me assess culture and if the role would be a good fit.
