One of the most surreal experiences I had in recent years. I applied through a job posting and got a response, wanting to schedule a first interview. For a first interview they booked a 1h30 appointment describing that it would had a technical, which I found odd, but accepted anyways since I thought it would have a first part with HR to present the company and the position, and then some technical questions with their Tech Lead. Then the interview day comes. I meet only their Tech Lead, he just asks how I'm doing and proceeds to shoot innumerous Javascript questions with a quick and easy code challenge, and only two or three for React - I get it, JS is important of course, but the position is for React. I was baffled by the situation but finished the interview. The tech lead was knowledgeable but had little soft skills. I got a really bad feeling about the company.
