      Entrevista de Supply Chain Manager

      17 abr 2010
      Candidato de entrevista anónimo
      San Jose, CA
      Sin oferta
      Experiencia negativa
      Entrevista normal

      Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de la escuela superior o la universidad. El proceso duró 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Cisco (San Jose, CA) en feb 2010

      Entrevista

Had a phone screen with a future peer first. This was quite nice, and the interviewer was very frank about his experiences at Cisco. I got both the good and the bad. Next I interviewed with a VP. Typical behavioral questions. Also a walkthrough of my resume. Nothing too special about this interview except that I could tell that he wasn't that interested in me or my experience and so coming out of it I was pretty sure I would not receive an offer. What was exceptionally annoying was that they kept dragging the process out after the interview for months. Saying to wait 2-3 more weeks, then to wait again for 2-3 more weeks, and a third time before finally sending out a rejection letter. This happened to multiple candidates from my MBA program and our experience with their recruiting process was not stellar to say the least. It was obvious they were holding onto us in case their ideal candidate fell through.

What is a major weakness that you have? Don't give me a fluff answer where it's actually a strength, I want a real weakness.

The Cisco interview process typically consists of three rounds: 1. **Online assessment test:** This test assesses your general aptitude and technical skills. It may include questions on math, logic, programming, and networking. 2. **Technical interview rounds:** In these rounds, you will be interviewed by one or more Cisco engineers. They will ask you questions about your technical skills and experience, as well as your knowledge of Cisco products and technologies. 3. **HR interview:** In this round, you will be interviewed by a Cisco HR representative. They will ask you questions about your career goals, why you want to work at Cisco, and your experience with Cisco products and technologies. Here are some common technical interview questions that you may be asked at a Cisco interview: * **Data structures and algorithms:** What is the difference between a linked list and an array? How would you implement a binary search tree? * **Operating systems:** What is the difference between a process and a thread? How would you implement a deadlock prevention algorithm? * **Networking:** What is the difference between TCP and UDP? How would you design a routing algorithm? * **Cisco products and technologies:** What is the difference between a router and a switch? What are some of the benefits of using Cisco's AnyConnect VPN? In addition to technical questions, you may also be asked behavioral questions, such as: * Tell me about a time when you had to overcome a challenge. * What are your strengths and weaknesses? * Why do you want to work at Cisco? Here are some tips for preparing for a Cisco interview: * **Research Cisco products and technologies.** Make sure you have a good understanding of the Cisco products and technologies that are relevant to the job you are interviewing for. * **Practice answering technical interview questions.** There are many resources available online and in libraries that can help you practice answering technical interview questions. * **Be prepared to discuss your technical skills and experience.** Be able to articulate your skills and experience in a clear and concise way. * **Be confident and enthusiastic.** Show the interviewer that you are excited about the opportunity to work at Cisco. Cisco interviews can be challenging, but they are also an opportunity to demonstrate your skills and experience to potential employers. By preparing thoroughly and being confident, you can increase your chances of success.
