Awkward and Clunky! The interview panel never asked me to write code or how I would approach a problem. It was so unorganized and unprofessional that after a few moments of awkward silence I offered to show what I was working on that day (fixing a bug on an existing application at my current employer). Inevitably it was that code that ended up preventing me from getting an offer. The feedback I received was that I don't write clean code. The funny thing is I was simply fixing a bug in a method someone else had written, and in the process was slowly refactoring the method to be clean. I guess they held me accountable for the quality of the code that I had never written in the first place. I expected at least someone on the panel o take charge of the interview and ask me what they wanted to hear, but they never did. It was just an awkward clunky experience from start to finish.
