They called me for a phone interview even though they already had a "preferred candidate in mind." I felt like they were just interviewing me to increase their interview numbers, the person I was talking to made me feel like I was wasting their time.

In a nutshell: Cold, Impersonal. Every initial phone screening I have ever encountered is a "meet and greet" situation; a "getting to know you" scenario. Not in this case! I was prepared to speak about my experience, my reasons for choosing Chewse, etc. I was not prepared for the canned, rapid-fire questioning I received from the interviewer, all the while (loudly) typing my answers and asking me to repeat things so that she could send the info to her supervisor. I was caught completely off-guard and distracted by the coldness and abrupt, rapid-fire questioning of the interviewer. I find it very contradictory that this company claims to be run with "empathy."
