I applied for a role at Chartbeat, Inc. after receiving an email from the company indicating their interest to interview me and I replied back indicating my interest in the role and that I would be thrilled to proceed to an interview. I slotted a time for the virtual interview according to their calendar scheduler link and picked the day and time. However, I was left in the dark concerning what type of interview this would be, such as a phone call or a video chat. I never received an acknowledgement of my acceptance of an interview or a link to join a meeting or phone call. I am writing this negative review of the company's hiring practices because it seems that ghosting applicants when they have been waiting for 30 minutes for a call back the day of the interview is normal. This is unprofessional when candidates receive an email indicating they have been chosen for an interview, they then schedule the interview, and the recruiter or talent specialist doesn't show up the day of the interview. Not even a reply via email to indicate they missed the interview and apologize or at an attempt to reschedule.
