I applied several weeks ago and got an email asking for a phone interview. The interview went pretty well and he asked me questions about past team experiences and just general info about the job. I would be overseeing a lot of the activity of the teams around me. I asked him about the next steps in the process and he said to expect a call/email from him later that week. He had a lot of other phone interviews but he said ours went really really well and he gave me the vibe that I could expect good news on Friday. But I just got an email from them saying they were no longer planning on filling this position due to their new business requirements. This company seemed like a really great place to learn a lot so I'm pretty sad this turned out the way it did..

He asked me how much I was looking for in terms of salary. I wasn't expecting this question and told him the max I've gotten paid before but also that I was flexible. He informed me that the pay he had in mind would be well within that range and that I should have no problems accepting it. He didn't specify a number however.

Two staged interview, the first a talk about my cv and skills, the second a test of my abilities with a written task and a pre-prepared presentation. Both these interviews were with the same people, a member of the team I was interviewing for and a member of HR and were a week apart- they were very quick to contact me after both interviews.
