I had initially applied to several positions with lackluster response. After talking with a friend, I found a contact who was a hiring manager for one of the positions I was interested in. Networking definitely greases the wheels, since I was called the next day after submitting a resume directly to a hiring manager versus waiting for the online application process. After a brief 15 minute phone screen by the recruiter and taking the online tests, I was brought onsite for the "Power Day", which consisted of two behavioral interviews, one case study, two job-fit interviews, and one informal lunch interview. I made it through power day, then was called back for two additional job-fit interviews. The culture seems to be very process-oriented and data-driven, which suited my interests and background. People seem to be very busy, but everyone I met seemed to be extremely knowledgeable and intelligent. I found what helped me the most was to bring along a few examples of my work in a portfolio. That way, when I was describing my accomplishments, I could actually show them a sanitized template of a flow diagram, strategy map, control chart, etc to help demonstrate my point. For me, selling my skills is much easier if I show what I did versus say what I did.

I was scheduled for four rounds of interviews. Two were behavioral, all 30 minutes each and virtual. Everyone was friendly and understanding that four rounds is quite a bit in one day.
