Invited to discovery call for the Sr. Advisor Policy and Research with HR Business Partner. It was a 30 min phone call and informed if successful would be invited to another interview.
The HR Business Partner used a derogotory and racial term to explain to me that racism does not exist in Canada by explaining a story in Canada she witnessed. It was mind-blowing to hear a white women explain to me racism using terminology that has been on government forms and document.
After a few email exchanges, I decided it wasn't the right cultural fit for me to work for a company that employs such people so I stopped responding to HR emails. I was sent a generic email a few weeks later stating I was not successful.
