Applied through stackoverflow,
the very next day HR invited for an initial interview.
1 week after second interview/conversation with potential team member. Since I am familiar already with scala, much of the conversation is about scala and its feature. I have never worked with scala before, so it was a great time to ask in detail about their good&bad experience using scala
Next is take home test about basic computer science theory, problems taken from textbook. They were very nice giving me an extra 1 week since I was in holiday when they assigned it.
After passed the assignment, the next step is pair programming. I felt a bit nervous but they were very helpful. The interviewers gave some feedbacks on how to solve problem more efficiently using scala pattern matching.
The last meeting was call discussing about salary, benefit, visa procedure, and etc.
Overall, It was the best interview experience I had so far. The hr keep updating about the status of my application. They are also open mind, to accept somebody with minimal scala experience, but willing to learn.
