I was contacted by their recruiter. We set an appointment for a few days out. The recruiter was a little late in calling me. The initial tell me about your experience question launched the discussion. It seemed like a totally scripted discussion - no probing questions based on my answer to the questions. Each "question" seemed more like a way to ultimately secure answers to "close" me after delivering a sales pitch. There was mention about their service even included financial planning if I needed it. I asked which specific positions they had that matched my experience, based on the response it was clear there were none, which started to sound like they wanted to either use me to start calling companies to "market me" as a way to see if they can uncover some jobs to recruit & make money from, or turn out to be one of those services that make you pay them instead of being compensated by the hiring company. I then asked how they found me & I never got a direct answer, she just asked a different question to deflect. After about 20 minutes, the recruiter gave an overview of how they work, that I would have to register and she would send my information "to get started" & set up a profile in their system. Later when I read the material she sent me it was a list of daily activities that basically explained how to find your own job, with much less detail than I had learned from either the outplacement service or just reading articles on best ways to job search. At this point I identified this as a less than legitimate recruiter/company, particularly after reading all the interview responses posted to Glassdoor
