The interview process was for Simplii Financial. It began with a recruiter who spent about 30 minutes checking if I was a fit for the role and asking about my technical capabilities, along with some qualitative and quantitative research questions. After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager, which was honestly a joke. It was supposed to be a one hour interview, but it felt more like a vibe check. They asked me one question and then spent most of the time talking about their own work and their opinions on design. I still made it to the final round. I was told to present a past project for 15 minutes, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of questions. Instead, they cut me off almost every time I tried to speak. Even during the basic qualitative and quantitative questions, they interrupted me, and at one point the hiring manager and the senior researcher were talking over each other.
