I had three interviews with CDM Smith. I got an email and call from HR about six weeks after I applied online. After initial questions with their HR, I was scheduled to interview the next week with several of the senior office staff over the phone (I was not a local candidate). The interview was an hour long. They asked me mostly about my current job to see how job experience overlapped with their qualification requirements. They also asked me to describe situations like leadership experience or a time I had a conflict in the workplace.
A few days later, I was told by HR that they wanted to fly me in for a second interview. Because of airline prices, it was scheduled to be a video conference instead. About two weeks after the first interview, I had the second interview. Due to technical difficulties, it also ended up being a phone conference. I talked with the environmental group for about 45 minutes. The told me more about what they did and what the job entailed.
A week and a half later, I got a call from their HR again. They wanted to make me an offer, but wanted to meet me in person first. A flight was scheduled a few weeks out. At their office, I met with everyone I had spoken with on the phone, got a tour, and went out to lunch with everyone. They told me HR would be contacting me with the offer soon. Within a day, I was contacted by phone and email with the offer details.

The interview process was very much enjoyable and smooth. I really do appreciate CDM smith's thoroughness and follow-up that they displayed during their interview process.
It started out with an initial phone screening with one of their HR representatives, followed up with another phone interview with my manager, where he asked me about my experience background, personality and future goals. Once I got passed that, CDM smith requested a face to face interview in their Edison, NJ office, where I met with four different people from their infrastructure and technology field group.
The whole interview was really enjoyable and insightful, I was very relaxed and I felt a very welcoming environment from all the people I met. I came out of the interview feeling very positive and happy.
During the whole hiring process, one of their HR personnel was constantly following up with me, calling me and sending me instructional emails several times a week, I found that it was very helpful and projected the impressive work quality and culture that CDM smith has. After one week of my face to face interview I got a phone call telling me that the client they were working with approved my qualifications and they sent me a job offer explaining all the benefits and financial compensation I would be receiving if the offer was accepted, pending the background check, which they conducted fairly quickly.
The overall process was really professional and admirable, it brings me great joy to be part of such a well respected and renowned company.
