The most pathetic experience I’ve ever had! The interviewer who was supposed to meet me had “forgotten” that there’s an interview and left the office. She apparently called some other lady who reports to her to take the interview on her behalf! This interviewer already had prejudices regarding my previous roles and work experience and assumed that I wanted to join this company because my referee had said “it’s a good place”!
For someone who has worked for 4 big companies, how can the criterion for joining a company be rave reviews based on someone’s personal experience??!
After this, the lady interviewer passed on the same prejudiced feedback to her supervisors and others and the cherry on the cake was when I was told by my referee that they don’t even have vacancies for BD currently and I can consider a Research role! Heights of unprofessionalism! This, coming after the fact that the first question asked to me was “You’re here for the BD role, correct?”!! And now they say they never had vacancies! So essentially they just called me (on my working day when I had to reschedule appointments) to just waste my time, for their whims?!????
What kind of an attitude is this?
I really fail to understand this unprofessional mannerism.
Here’s a tip: Learn to value others’ time and atleast show some kind of professionalism in scheduling and taking interviews ‘cause this was a total disaster!!
