Contacted by an agency who sent my CV to the company. Within 48 hours I had a call inviting me for an interview either that afternoon or the next day - it sounded like they were very interested. I suggested a time the following mid-late afternoon but was asked to make it earlier, which I managed to do. Once I arrived, I was told straightaway that this wasn't an interview, it was a general chat to see whether they would like to interview me! I was told a bit more about the role with a chance to ask a question or two towards the end. Within half an hour I was outside, having been told they would contact me if they wanted to take it further. Over a week later, I contacted the agency who came back and told me that the 'interviewer' had like me but it could be a while of them speaking to other possible candidates before they decided whether or not they wanted to formally interview me. I asked for them to remove me from possible candidates as I didn't feel the position was right for me.
