Things moved very fast and unprofessionally at Brightside. I received an email from a strange domain that was not affiliated with Brightside from a recruiter. I got a few calls from an unknown number after the intial interview asking me to set up a second interview. They seemed very desperate to hire me. Very bizarre experience and I saw so many red flags. I said I wasn't interested. I'd stay far away from this place.

The one review that says their management is a dumpster fire is right. They contradict each other and that's the biggest red flag.

Although Brightside may be a good company to work for, the interview process was both torturous and unprofessional.
After an initial interview that lasted 1.5 hours, I was told that the second interview would be scheduled, and it was, but with two different people at the same time. I attempted to reach out to the original person to point out the discrepancy, but I was unable to reach her. Once they recognized the conflict, the second interview was scheduled for the following day.
Once again, the interview process went well, I thought, and I was told that training classes were starting and they would reach out to me within 2 days. Nothing. I emailed my original person with no response. I follow-up several times as I was told that "they wouldn't keep me waiting". They did.
Three weeks after my first interview and two weeks later than they said it would be, I received a rejection email stating that they were looking for someone bilingual and a certified financial planner, although these requirements weren't listed on the original post and did not seem to be a stopping point being contacted on LinkedIn.
This company wasted my time and didn't live up to their word. I realize that's a startup, but professionalism should still be observed.
In the end I think that I avoided a lot of red flags.
