Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en BrainStation (Vancouver, BC) en jun 2023
Entrevista
NO NOT APPLY
I was approached by a recruiter to apply. Teaching is always something I've been interested in and after 15 years in the industry I thought it might be a nice change.
The interview process took up a lot of my time and then I was ghosted. Very unprofessional.
The interview process was as follows:
1. Zoom screening interview
2. Take-home assessment (no guidelines on how long you should take on it - but probably at least half a day if you actually want to do a considerate job)
3. On-site in-person interview
4. On-site lecture in front of four people (they give you the topic but you have to create a prep the lecture itself - probably at least a days time if you want to do a good job)
Took up about 3 days of my time in total. The questions were very repetitive between the 3 interviews. They probably should coordinate more.
The recruiters are not local and there seems to be a disconnect between them and management.
In the end, I was ghosted and had to email them twice to finally get a response after almost 2 weeks.
They told me they wanted someone with more teaching experience (why did you reach out to me then?!)
The educators themselves seemed really nice. This reeks of bad upper management.
