      Entrevista

      Recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. There were 2 interviewers, booked for 45mins each. 1. With a team member asking about the current work that we do. Experience: This interviewer started with “I have gone through everything in your resume, tell me something you haven’t mentioned” and I replied “I would still walk you through the details”. Rest of the other questions were easy enough to answer if you had worked on Performance Testing, Tuning, Engineering and Cloud Migrations. Piece of advice: Resume shows the highlights, not the details and that’s why there is a process called Interview to review more details for the highlights mentioned in the resume. Then you keep the candidate engaged from those answers/explanations. 2. With a Senior Manager from Infrastructure asking about the current work, implementation of a process and Manager’s responsibilities. Interviewer started with usual introduction and said “I am looking for a Manager who will be responsible for Performance Testing, Tuning and Cloud Migration” and rest of the other questions were focused on Managerial challenges. Piece of advice to interviewer: Prepare and Plan it well before you start, when the position is for Senior Manager, you should plan to ask more/some questions about Senior Manager and Leadership roles in handling the activities and situations. If I would become a Sr Manager and end up fixing code issues, then projects will never complete. Piece of advice for Candidate: Unlike me, just ask the interviewer if that’s the role you are being interviewed for.
