The interview process was very nice, I met with one of the owners and we seemed to hit it off pretty well. Unfortunately, the second owner was unavailable to meet with me during that interview so I was asked to make a return a day or so later. I did so expecting to have the same experience and hit it off relatively well with the second owner. Unfortunately, we just did not hit it off very well. It happens, but I'm always glad when it does as you never know if you just maybe dodging a bullet, and let's face it- this is your career we're talking about so nothing to take lightly. In any case while the conversation was stimulating and energetic with the first owner who seems very impassioned in regards to marketing and growing his brand, the second owner seems more preoccupied with the finances. It's usually that way with a two-guy combo. Left Brain, Right Brain. I do feel a bit disappointed that the second owner did not thoroughly acclimate himself with my skill set. He made mention that I had never worked with marketing a product before, yet I managed a whole brand with a fairly large product line. That brand also 150 locations nationwide compared to their one location. I also felt like I was being talked down to. Perhaps it was because I am female or maybe he just didn't care for me. I saw that they had reposted their hiring ad again this morning. I very communicative so, I always find it disappointing when the employer "ghosts you" instead of letting you know either way.
