I got in touch with one of their HRs on LinkedIn. She immediately asked me to share my resume. After an hour, she inquired about my availability and scheduled a phone call with one of their QA managers (without mentioning what to expect in the call and without having any other conversation with me.) Then at the day of telephonic screening, the HR mails me telling the manager is not available for a week and they will have to postpone the call. I said, “okay!” Then after a week, again comes the day she had postponed my telephonic call to. It was scheduled at 14:30 and I had been sitting from 14:15 along with my phone and headphones ready for the call. The manager gave me a ring at 14:47 (by this time, 17 mins out of 30 has already been passed) she sounded in a hurry to catch a train or what God must know! She was speaking so fast that firstly I was not able to comprehend and process all her words at once, I had to ask her “could you pls repeat?” Then she kept on talking about my previous projects and experience and everything that she wanted to. The call lasted for just 13 mins, in that she also inquired about work authorization and visa status and told me about the company culture and work that I would be doing if I get to join. Everything happened in that 13 minutes (you can imagine how fast she was speaking) and then sharp at 15’o clock she hanged up the phone. And I was like, what just happened, I had no clue if I was able to explain my projects well or not. It seemed like I was not given enough time that I deserved to explain my projects. I really feel she took off an opportunity that I might have excelled.
Then next day, I got a no-reply mail telling me they are not proceeding with my candidacy. I am happy that I got rejected. I don’t want to work with one such manager.
