It started out as a typical 3 phase interview,
-Screening
-Supervisor Interview
-Team Interview
Screening was conducted by HR who was professional and amazing. They verified my knowledge and I went onto interviewing with my immediate supervisor, who was laid back, professional and great to meet with. He asked more technically demanding questions that I really enjoyed. I made it into the Team Interview (sigh), where they asked for a two page essay on why you want to work their and your interests with space flight. They also warned me they'd scan the document to make sure Ai did not write this. Then they also want a 5 minute presentation with a Power Point deck to fallow along. They gave me one week to complete my interviewing project.
Now, I get it, you want serious applicants, but how many hoops do you need to jump through?
Anyways, the team interview was going really well, then out of no where one of the panelist just said I was too slow for this job, despite my past showing I outperformed 3 regions combined in tickets completed and other departments offering me work. I reminded him of my work history and he just completely dismissed it, said I was slow. That was it, interview was over. HR fallowed up with an apology and said the typical "we'll keep your records on file for future job postings". My guess, he had someone else in mind for the job, because I am anything but slow in my job. I've even set company records in my past that still stand to this day, but eh... their loss.
