I had a 30 minute conversation with the recruiter and then he scheduled an appointment with the Director of Analytics. The recruiter didn't inform me when he set up the interview that I had to click on a link to get into the meeting online, so I was expecting a call from the director and I was late to the meeting. This was extremely unprofessional! All details about how to get to our call should have been included in the email setting up the interview and it was not.
The call was was over before it began. It was another interview where they "want to see how you think" but they have pre-conceived ideas about how they want you to answer the questions and if you don't arrive at their answer you're wrong.
I told the recruiter after the call that I was concerned about how my lateness to the call (which wasn't my fault) would impact my candidacy. And he got back to me saying I "wasn't the right fit". I asked for feedback and he didn't respond.
Overall, my experience interviewing with Blue Apron was unprofessional and rude.

Was reached out to via email by a recruiter. He was very nice and very confident in my skills/match with the role. I did the first interview, the interviewer was very cold and dry and hard to gauge how she was feeling. I honestly thought she didn't like me, but I heard back within like 15 mins that she wanted to move forward. I was ecstatic. The next part was an assignment and presentation. I put in hourssssss of work and felt very confident in my assignment/presentation but the people on the other side of the presentation were insanely smart and asked questions I did not know the answer to. I got the news they weren't going to move forward with me like 15 mins after it was over. :(

The assignment was 3 large datasets and about 6 questions to answer. There was no real guidance, just get the answers however you could. I used SQL and Excel. It required a pretty high level of SQL knowledge. Then make 2 slide decks to present, one with your results and one with your methodologies. Like I said, it required many many hours of my life to complete.
