I had two phone interviews which wen't really well and they were interested in my projects. Frankly, the on-site interview was really bad. The people who interviewed me were asking weird questions, which I was not expecting. I had two on-site interview. The first one, it was just a coding which went well. One of the interviewers were asking me about the version of the Java or C++ I was using (weird, right?). Also, he was not even able to follow my algorithm. At that point, I was wondering how he has been hired. Could've been a fresh out of college person. After that, two other people came in and start asking me about some Big-Data question. I felt like they were trying to ask me one of their company's question, and they were keep telling me that why I never thought about the corner cases or some of the conditions to solve the problem. Well, how can I in 1 hour think about all pre-condition, where someone with 10 years experience may come up with.
Anyway, at the end I had a conversation with the recruiter and she told me she will let me know the answer on Monday. On Monday just got a rejection email. The worst part was, I was respectfully trying to ask her about the reasons for the rejection, but she didn't even answer me. How unprofessional a recruiter should be, not trying to just give you some feedback? In the interview day, she was just trying to show how kind she is. Anyway, never had such experience before.
