The interviewing process was comprised of the following phases.
- Introductory Interview: Comprised of general questions about my experience, as well as some very basic Python questions.
- Live Coding Interview: A life Python coding exercise with a company's engineer consisting of fetching and processing some data from a RESTful service.
- Group Technical Interview/Cultural Fit Interview: A group interview with all the technical staff in the team. That was supposed to be the final interview.
To my knowledge, I did well in all phases, or at least that's the feedback I've got up to the last interview (the last time I've heard from them).
I was extremely polite and friendly in all phases of the process and I answered to all their questions to the best of my ability.
However, I didn't get any feedback at all, it's been weeks since the last interview.
They simply snubbed me without giving me any satisfaction.
I'm not sure what happened. I don't remember doing or saying anything to offend them. I was confident that I was going to get an offer.
I was surprised that I ended-up receiving such an uncivil treatment. However, you never know people's real character until after they feel like they don't need you or don't have any use for you anymore.
