      DON’T do it! My experience with the Birdeye interview process was less than satisfactory. Initially, I was contacted by a recruiter for a position I hadn't applied for, which was exciting. However, the first meeting was missed by the recruiter with no prior notice. Despite promptly reaching out, I received no response, and it wasn't until I followed up again that we managed to reschedule. After my initial interview with the recruiter, there was a two-week period with no communication until I reached out once more. This follow-up led to a series of three interviews with the Executive Leadership. Against my better judgment, I was asked to conduct a "Stand and Deliver" presentation that evolved from a simple event plan to a detailed Q2 strategy. I dedicated two full days to this task, producing a presentation that balanced thoroughness with discretion, as I typically charge clients for this level of strategic work. A week after the presentation, I was informed via a brief call that feedback would arrive early the following week. Despite following up multiple times with the recruiter and sending a professional follow-up to everyone I interviewed with, I just received an apologetic call from the recruiter letting me know that they “went with another candidate”. As a company specializing in reputation management, Birdeye's handling of this process did not reflect well. It felt as though they were seeking free consulting rather than genuinely filling a position, which is disappointing. I hope my review will encourage Birdeye to improve its candidate communication and interview process.
