An absolutely outrageous and completely unethical interview process. In the first round, the recruiter was quite pleasant, but then informed me there would be SEVEN rounds of interviews for the role. Learning this was immediately concerning, but it was an interesting enough opportunity to at least look at it further.
Even though I followed up, I had assumed they moved on as I did not hear back from them for over 2 weeks. When the recruiter did contact me again, I was assigned an "exercise" for my 3rd round interview.
Now, I'm used to doing exercises. Especially for development roles, it is appropriate to review someone's style and approach. However, it is an absolutely unreasonable and unethical request to ask a candidate to solve your upcoming business case for free.
