It was a phone call with another leader from another magazine. They talked about what they did and what role I would play. It was then another phone call with someone in my region to discuss potential options on cities to work in.

The interview process was straight forward and easy. My experience was good overall, but one of my references was shocked by the way the company conducts itself on the phone. He had missed a call from them. When he called back, an employee answered the main business line by just saying, "Hello?" After my reference asked to speak with the woman who called him, the employee just started yelling out looking for her. My reference was never put on hold. He couldn't believe how much yelling was going on in the background! Wow. Talk about unprofessional. He will forever have the impression that BVM is not a reputable business, because of one employee.

This is a classic example of a person who didn't get accepted for the position attacking the company that didn't hire her. There's nothing about this that is true, other than the person was interviewed and passed up for someone else.
