I first met with 2 supervisors, very friendly, gave a good impression. Then….I went back to interview with their boss, who I had been told would be tough and direct, but was a nice guy. Nope. This man told me to “cut the crap” about why I quit my previous job after 6 months, threatened to call my old supervisor and ask him if what I said was true, as if I was lying, and accused me of not getting any promotions at my employer of 15 years prior to that because he didn’t see “Level I or Level II” on my resume, despite me explaining that that’s not how my former Fortune 100 employer named roles and that they had gotten rid of most middle management positions, which was one of the reasons I left. He also told me that if I “want an easy job, there are easier jobs out there,” which I was offended by because nothing I had said indicated that nor did I even think anything along those lines because I’m a damned hard worker, he was just making all kinds of wild and crazy accusations. I walked away pissed as hell and made sure to tell him I had 3 other interviews that same day, I’d be fine.
