The interview was over the phone interview, it was very casual and the questions were easy. It lasted for around 20 minutes including introductions etc. There were four our five questions in total.

I applied online and filled out all the online details. I received an email form letter which included: "We really liked your application and we will be in touch shortly to schedule a telephone interview!" I received an email that informed me that a phone interview was scheduled for me with Mrs. X on July X, mid-morning. I am currently working in a school (which they would have know from my application) so mid-morning during term time just isn't possible. I called them back the same day as I received the email. The woman who answered the phone explained that Mrs. X would need to reschedule it for me but she was away from her desk. She took my details and instructed me to wait for Mrs. X's call. I waited and waited.... The day of the originally scheduled interview came and passed, still no call. Two weeks later I received an email with the subject 'Telephone Interview Response' and it included the text: "Thank you for taking the time to speak to us regarding your application to work with Barracudas" and then proceeded to inform me that I was unsuccessful in my application. As they couldn't be bothered to re-schedule the interview or to actually interview me before declining my application, I can't say that I'm particularly bothered not to get the job. Either their back office processes are inefficient and inept or I can only assume that they judged my application on my age, name or some other characteristic which isn't skills based as I have the childcare requirements, I'm enhanced DBS cleared, first aid certified and with previous summer camp experience. In the meantime I received two other offers from summer camps who could be bothered to interview me.
