If you get well prepared, it is not too hard. I got to the clerkship day, where there is first the group exercise. It was an M&A case, and allowed a short time to read and take notes, then discuss the questions in front of the interviewers (partners and senior associates). Not very technical but touches upon some law concepts and commercial news. Next is Q&A, everyone can ask the panel questions. Finally it is the written test, need to take the notes you have written from the group exercise and answer questions on the laptop they provided. Need to work under a limited time and at the end you need to write an executive summary in Chinese.

There was one Partner and one Senior Associate interviewing me. The interview on Zoom was 1 hour long, including time to ask them questions. They were friendly and approachable, took turns to ask questions and were happy to talk about their own experience at Bakers and a little bit about their career journey.
