I applied the job through company career page. Though the initial round went a bit smoother and faster, the final round was done a bit delayed but completed.
But there is no update from the company after the final round. I was literally ghosted by the recruiter for a month. Suddenly, he sent the pre designed template of rejection without any details of late reply.
It is bit frustrating and also bit hard on candidates who spend their efforts for the interview, The recruiter didn't even care to reply as humane way as possible.
Previously I had a very good opinion about Backbase and also eager to grab on the opportunity. This makes me to avoid Backbase at any cost.
Ofcourse you got lots in your candidate pool, I never going to attend any interview from your company.

Even the interview is a nightmare. They require you to do homework, with a full page of description what they expect from you, and they are unable to send the input file at the first place. They do not share the criteria, but after they reject on like typos and even thing which are not valid.
They are focused what you do not know, and not interested at all what you know.

Homework: create an API to rate restaurants, get back the top rated ones, query data from another API.
I found the interviewers somewhat disrespectful. While I was trying to clearly explain the system and the technical background, they seemed distracted—typing and not really listening. Later, they asked questions I had already answered, which made the whole experience feel dismissive.
It wasn’t a great interaction, and frankly, I don’t think I’d be comfortable working with people who approach conversations like that.

They don't have any technical knowledge-- that's why they couldn't ask. Actually they have no idea to do it.
