Was referred by a former colleague who I trained in Agile, UX and CX who said they desperately needed someone hands-on, willing to go into the offices, who could help build product roadmaps, join the dots between what squads were working on with business strategy, and generally motivate people by instilling a sense of purpose and making sure that their work didn't get rejected at a retro!
I sent in my CV and was contacted 2-3 days later by the recruiter who said my CV was of interest because of my agile coaching and management skills. I was invited to do a short presentation to three people titled "Thinking About our Digital purpose "To drive digital thinking and expertise, so that together we create the best experiences that enhance our customers' lives" and our Experience Principles, what are the 5 big opportunities you see in this role to make those ambitions a reality," followed by a chat about my CV and work.
My theme for the presentation was agile 'build from firm foundations (your employees ARE your foundations! Good CX starts with skilled and motivated employees) and harness new technology such as ML and AI to improve productivity (I gave examples of how I've been using this for a government client), and innovate through Metaverse and Web 3.0 technologies but they said that BT Consumer wasn't currently engaging in new technologies but they thought another part of BT was.
My advice would be to ask lots of questions during the presentation to be able to gauge what type of skills and level of innovation and leadership they are after.
Still waiting to hear back!
