They asked about how I align with BBC Values. There were three people on the panel who all asked me a range of questions. The interview lasted around 30 minutes.

Two stages of interview, first with a panel, broad questions around experience and motivations and had to present on a potential story I would pitch and why. The second round was more competency-based and had a timed research task.

Entrevista
I applied online. The position was based in Nairobi for BBC Africa.
They reached out after a month telling me I had been shortlisted for an interview in 3 days time.
It was a 45 minutes long zoom interview and comprised of 3 panelists. An editor/line manager for the position and 2 other senior employees. No HR rep/recruiter.
It started with a brief intro of all of us and the house rules.

About the offer question above, as I write this, I'm still negotiating the salary, I haven't accepted it yet.

1. First question, why this job?
2. Then they moved to competency based questions. The highlight was a scenario in the news process. This part took a BIG chunk of the time and there was a lot of "grilling" here.
They asked me for a story idea, how I'd treat its coverage: who would I interview,? why? What if I was faced with an ethical situation, what would I do. There was an example for this and lot of other questions which I really can't recall.
The panelists were friendly and made me comfortable making sure I heard every question right and should I need them to repeat it, I could ask.
