I applied online. I was invited to the first interview shortly after application. The first interview took place in the premises of the law firm the legal services are outsourced to, with one of the legal counsels working for Avantium. It was a pleasant talk. Questions about my CV and working experience. I was requested to talk to the second counsel in the team only two days after the interview. So far it looked like the proceeding regarding the application process were moving quickly. The second interview was equally pleasant, though I had the feeling the questions were not really well prepared-basically it was a lot of repitition of the first interview. After the interview I did not receive any feedback whatsoever, I was not informed if I passed the round nor if or when another interview will take place. It took about a month until I was invited to the third interview within the premises. The meeting took place with the first interviewer and the head of the departement. The mood during the whole interview was ok. Questions still the same like in the previous two interviews, explaining the CV, working experience etc. In addition the work and company structure and the challenges to be expected in the job were explained. After the interview I had a little tour and could get a glimpse on the place. I really got the feeling that I am indeed a preferred candidate. They also gave the impression that they value and share my personal values of professionalism, respect and reliability regarding work and in general. After this interview I did not receive any feedback again, I was told the next step would be meeting the leading management of this small company as they also would like to get to know me. So I was waiting for information when the next interview will take place. After more than two weeks I wrote an Email to the first interviewer ( person also in charge for the application process- no HR departement) and received the reply that they don´t know yet when the next meeting will take place they will be in touch with me the following week. I was not contacted according to this promise and sent another request for news 1,5 weeks after that again and requested just the clarification if I am still considered to be in the application process. I never received a reply on my question. For me this was altogether a very long, chaotic and unprofessional experience of an application procedure, giving the impression of a very unstructured working enviroment. Therefore, now I am very happy that it did not work out as this kind of working mentality does not reflect my own values.
