Entrevista
Similar to most Product Management interviews. Phone Interview followed by a full day onsite Interview.
Average questions but teams full of women discriminate against guys. They would prefer to hire women rather than based on merit. Confirmed what I heard prior to the interview from an acquaintance who worked at Atlassian before. Shameful that this is happening right here in the bay area.
They have been hiring a lot in the past 6 months or so and all the new hires are nothing more than 'bodies' including people at senior level positions. Quite a few people are in senior roles either because they got promoted when somebody left or Sydney management thought it will be better if teams report locally. Reporting locally is great but weak people who can't handle their job is obviously not worth it. They wouldn't hire anybody with strong experience for the role since they themselves do not have the background and feel right out threatened. As managers people need to realize that any Product Manager has a fairly specific role/ownership and there is no reason to feel threatened but they just don't get it.
Wouldn't recommend interviewing here. Check the Hiring Manager's LinkedIn profile, if it is weak(no collaboration background or out of work for years), save yourself from continuing the interview process. Also one of the interviewers seemed to be rooting for a referral that the person submitted and just didn't know how to react that there was another candidate with a strong background invited onsite.

What are some features you would add to Confluence.
Screening, multiple interviews with different stakeholders, challenge with multiple people in attendance. quite detailed and in-depth. pretty straightforward. Negotiated offer before accepting. Process is quite long but not too frustrating as they keep you up to date.

Resume screening at Atlassian is not good as I got rejected and got in because I was able to get a hold of someone that is in the organization. So, unless you know someone getting a call from this company has slim chances.
The call with recruiter was very standard template oriented. After that I had a TPM screen where a peer interviewed me. Despite technical challenges, feedback was positive but they moved forward with other candidates. I felt like there was a lack of transparency in the process.
