I applied online through LinkedIn & their main portal Workday in mid December 2023. I didn’t get a follow up until the beginning of January for an intro recruiter call. I was then moved on to the direct manager interview. I want to note the direct manager stated they were looking to find someone by the end of the month. I didn’t receive a follow-up until 1.5 week later about moving forward to the final interview with the direct managers manager. I was scheduled for a time later in the day but received an email same day a couples before asking if I could do the interview sooner if not they would have to completely reschedule. Crazy how companies are quick to inconvenience you & drag out interview processes but expect you to be flexible at all times. Anyhow, the interview went amazing & the manager seemed very intrigued with my experience now looking back I guess intimidated. She stated I would receive a follow-up within the next two weeks - how ironic when I was told the end of the month previously. However, less than 24 hrs later I got the “we decided to move forward blah blah” email. Keep in mind, my response throughout the entire process was quick & direct as I was extremely excited about the role & know I brought what they were seeking PLUS more. This is a fact because majority of the accomplishments I noted they themselves have never done. Note to anyone, don’t trust the fake smiles interviewers give you. They will sit there, lie to your face & discard you behind a recruiter to not take the heat. My opinion of Assurant has completely changed unfortunately. I highly do not recommend!
