TLDR: Don't do it. Dodge the bullet.
Interviewed by an attorney? Real 'tough guy' act. Puts on a bravado and casual gruffness that have no place in a preliminary interview. On multiple accounts he asked the same question after I had answered him. Sounds like he was having a bad day.
Beyond the interview itself, the responsibilities of the role are relatively vague, probably a "catch-all" role. From what I could glean, the position has a Banquet and Events Marketing and Operations capacity, but there was no clarity on who you'd be reporting to, if there was a dedicated FOH serving team, or if the role would be mostly corporate event cold-outreach.
I would advise Artezen to have their hiring processes conducted by an HR professional, even an entry level person, not a real-estate attorney.
Unfortunately, this interview genuinely affected how I view Artezen's business and operational integrity.
