      Entrevista de Applications Project Manager

      21 sept 2013

      Solicitud

Solicité el puesto por otro medio. El proceso duró 8 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Appirio (Indianapolis, IN) en sept 2013

      Entrevista

I had 3 phone interviews, the first with an HR representative. I then had 3 video interviews, and then flew to Indianapolis to interview with 4 people in person. So, a total of 10 interviews. I thought that the process was very clear, and very well organized. A couple of days after each interview, I was notified that I was selected to move forward, and another interview would be set up. I ended up having 1 interview a week for 6 weeks and then a trip. Everyone was very nice, and I think that the purpose of so many interviews was more to assess a cultural fit rather than my specific skills. I interviewed with people in my chain of command as well as people within the organization that I would likely not work with, and I was able to get a very good sense of the company. The questions were standard interview fare - we discussed the job, my resume, and whether I would be open to other PM work. I was impressed with the process, and the company overall. The verbiage of the contract really drives the point home - this company aims to promote a positive work environment and align the employee's interests with it's own, not to "get over." I would strongly advise doing research about the company, being well prepared and dressing well for the video interviews.
