Because I was abroad at the time of the hiring process, all of my interviews were held over either phone or video chat. I had a 30-minute intro interview over the phone with HR in the beginning, followed by another 30-minute video interview with the hiring manager one week later. The week after that I had a 1.5 hour interview with the hiring manager and one of the senior website specialists. My final interview was a 2.5 hour long video meeting with 5 other employees in the company. I found the whole process to be refreshing and thorough. AppFolio’s team was quick to reply and very professional during the entire experience.

The HR person scheduled an interview on 8/12. The day and time of the interview, she said she was busy and rescheduled for 8/19. I didn't hear from her again until 8/24 where she said sorry and rescheduled for 8/27. I said I was ready. On 8/27, I did not get any call, instead, I got an email saying the job has been filled. Overall, very unprofessional and it was just 2 weeks of false hope for me. Hope others have a better experience.
