A brief (5-10 minute) phone interview initially determined my interest and general ability to work in a bacteria lab. An in-person interview was held at the lab/office building. I was given a tour of the building and had a group interview in the lab area with the entire lab staff (six scientists). The group interview was informal and well meaning. Then I had one-on-one (well, two-on-one) interview in a meeting room with the CEO and President. One asked behavioral questions such as what I would have done in certain situations. The other asked several biology questions. Finally I took a short math test. I was called in less than a week and offered a job starting immediately. I was told they had called my references.
