At first, the process went well. There was an HR screen followed by a 1:1 interview with the hiring manager. Two weeks later, I was selected for the panel interview, which consisted of 4 1:1 interviews. The interviews were pleasant with a variety of technical and behavioral questions. After the interviews, I sent an email to the recruiter with thank you notes and asked about timelines . . . . No response. Amgen was my top choice and when I received notification of a verbal offer from another company, I finally heard back. I was given a decision date and have not heard anything since. Knowing I had another offer and when I had to provide a decision, it was have been nice to receive a follow up email that another candidate was selected especially when I had another company waiting for my response. My date for making a decision was communicated. After spending the hours preparing for and participating in the interviews, a quick follow up would help provide closure. Blessing in disguise if this is how candidates are treated.
